You will need to write a hardship letter.  This will need to be signed and dated.  You can find a sample hardship letter for short sales here:

Common Lender Applications

Below are common lender applications to complete a short sale.  If you don’t see your lender here we can get it directly from them. We always try for a HAFA short sale first as we believe it provides the best benefit to the seller.

Important Financials

We will need to collect the following financials documents from you as well:

  • Paystubs for the last 30 days (each seller)
  • Bank Statements for the last 60 days
  • Tax returns for the last 2 years (or extensions if not filed)
  • 4506-T (this form allows your lender to pull tax returns on your behalf)
